BADSS is a parent led support group with around 150 members, that has a site that has been set up to support parents and guardians of children with Downs Syndrome or their friends and family who would benefit from help and support.

The aim of the charity is to enhance the lives of people with Downs Syndrome, their families and care givers in Bristol, Bath and surrounding areas.  The charity is affiliated to the Downs Syndrome Association (DSA).

Here at Spirit Health Club Bristol we will be running events throughout the year including quiz nights, sponsored swims, a summer BBQ, Christmas party and many more to raise money for this deserving charity.

Maurice's Pub Walk

Maurice's Pub Walk

Maurice (Spirit Health Club & FOSH Member) had a great turn out for his local pub walk he organised during the August Bank Holiday.

The Walk was 4 miles long through open country, woodland & along the banks of the river Avon, the weather was perfect. Once the walk is completed, back at the Chequers pub there was live music, BBQ and a real ale festival. (what a prefect way to end a country walk!)

Show your support for Maurice at his next walk, All Spirit Health Club Bristol members, Family & Friends are Welcome!

Most participates were raising money for their nominated charities.

"This was my first ever half marathon and I couldn’t have done it without the support of the Spirit Health Club team.  I would also like to thank the members for all their kind sponsorship in aid of Paul’s Place Charity for physically disabled adults."
